Savoring the Sweetness of Ice Cream in Vermont Summers

In our humble opinion, Vermont might be one of the best places to spend a summer. You can indulge in all kinds of activities from hiking the beautiful Green Mountains, exploring watering holes, enjoying unique restaurants, sampling our amazing breweries or hanging out on the lake. And, if you ask us Sisters, all of these activities are best topped off with big heaping scoops of ice cream. In our charming New England state, where green fields and rolling hills meet quaint towns and warm communities, indulging in a scoop (or two!) of ice cream is a cherished, time-honored tradition.

In Vermont, the connection between the land and the ice cream you enjoy is unbreakable. We grow nearly all of our flavor elements for the ice cream we make, and what we don’t grow we work to source from other local farmers and producers. Our cream comes from Kingdom Creamy, our maple from Purinton Maple, our honey from Champlain Valley Apiaries, our coffee from Kestrel Coffee, and flour used on our Snap cookies from King Arthur Flour (and we’ll be needing more of this in the year future – get ready for a new product dropping soon!).

With summer starting up, immerse yourself in Vermont’s natural beauty as you relish your ice cream indulgence. Of course, we invite you to visit our farm in Shelburne to play some lawn games, bask in the Vermont scenery and enjoy some farm-to-cone ice cream. If you are a little further away from Shelburne, you can pick up pints at a growing list of retail locations throughout New England, and our single serve cups are perfect to bring along to any of your Vermont adventures.  It doesn’t matter if you choose to savor your treat in town or venture into nature, the experience of enjoying ice cream is elevated by the Vermont scenery that surrounds you.

So, whether you’re exploring the charming towns, hiking the scenic trails, or simply seeking respite from the sun, a creamy scoop of ice cream provides a refreshing treat and an opportunity to slow down and savor the moment. In the land of rolling hills, vibrant farms, and welcoming communities, ice cream is more than just a frozen treat—it’s a delightful summer tradition. We try to offer a unique array of berries and other fun flavors to help you savor the moment. So, the next time you find yourself in the midst of a Vermont summer, embrace the moment of indulging in ice cream.
